Simon Watson has done quite a lot for Kemble and various RAF involvements over the years and has asked me to forward this e-mail to ex-2nd TAF people, who might be interested in his special offer – if you are ordering more than one for UK the book dispatch costs will come down and if you are ex-UK overseas, please contact Simon first to sort out P&P etc.

For those who missed RAF Hunters in Germany by Gunter Kipp & Roger Lindsay first time round or require a second copy. You now have opportunity to purchase a copy at the reduced price of ?5.00 plus ?2.50 post & packing. Copies are limited, so please order now to afford disappointment.

The dates for the Squadron’s 95th Anniversary celebration have been set for Friday 1 June and Saturday 2 June 2007 at RAF Cottesmore.
The basic format will be a beer call on the Friday night (with curry/fish and chips), venue to be identified, and a dinner (dance?) on the Saturday night. We are looking into arranging something for the Saturday afternoon, but with the Sqn’s heavy commitments, it’s unlikely to be anything as grand as the air show that we had for the 90th.
The committee is now looking into venues and costings. In the meantime, put the dates in your diary!
To buy anything shown on the Squadron Shop page in the Gallery, please send an e-mail to:

We’re in the early stages of planning the Squadron’s 95th Anniversary Reunion for the summer of 2007. As soon as the date has been fixed I’ll post it here.
I’ve spent a bit of time this afternoon updating the “WordPress” code that underlies the site and generally tidying up. You may notice that the Gallery now appears in the regular Fourfax page instead of on its own.

I’ve had to remove the Tagboard feature because it was getting lots of spam and I was having to spend a lot of time cleaning it up.
The Forums are always open to registered members, of course, if you feel the urge to post a message!

Marc Tecklenborg has sent some more Harrier GR3 and Harrier GR7 pics. Thanks Marc!
Marc Tecklenborg has got hold of an embroidery machine and has designed some Sqn name badges. He’s prepared to make some for members at cost price, so if you’d like any, look him up in the Forums > Memberlist and send him an email!
Marc Tecklenborg has kindly sent some new photos. They’re in the Gallery, some in the Harrier GR3 section, some in the Harrier GR7 section, and one in the Hunter section.
The Gallery’s down again for a day or two – I tried to do an upgrade which went wrong. I’ll sort it out over the weekend.
Update – Saturday pm – back up again!
Chris
Many of our more “senior” members were on the Sqn at Jever in the early 1950’s. Mick Ryan runs the Jever Steam Laundry, a website celebrating the irreverent attitude of those on 122 Wing at the time. The JSL organises dinners, annual get-togethers and trips back to Jever. For further details on their up-coming events, go to the Jever Steam Laundry website.
The photo Gallery is down for maintenance. I hope to have it back up in 24 hours.
